Mastery Schools Victoria is a not-for-profit middle school dedicated to supporting students who are at risk of disengaging or have already disengaged from their current learning environment, causing them to fall behind academically. Our Allied Health Team plays a crucial role in our school community, working closely with teachers to provide tailored support that keeps students engaged in the classroom and on track with their learning journey.

About the role
Support Worker
Employment Status: Opportunity for Causal or Part-time
Key Responsibilities
- Administration of literacy and numeracy standardise testing.
- Data entry and data review.
- Work directly with students in the classroom under the supervision of the teacher to provide social/emotional support.
- Attend professional development and training as required by the school.
- Be actively involved in the life of the school during internal and external events where possible.
- Assist in teaching duties under the direction of a classroom teacher.
- Provide administrative support for teachers when necessary.
- Attend professional development and training as required by the school.
- Always follow the school’s child safety policies and procedures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of students.
About You
- Able to successfully engage young people in relevant and dynamic learning.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Able to develop sound working relationships at all levels.
- Able to work as a team as well as autonomously.
Mandatory Requirements
- Currently undertaking a degree, or higher, in Psychology.
- Ability to successfully engage young people in relevant and dynamic learning.
- Able to develop good working relationships at all levels.
- Able to self-manage and meet deadlines.

No adverse findings resulting from criminal history checks
(i.e. AFP National Police Check for working with children or no unsuitable findings by the Department National Investigations Unit).
- Hold a current and valid Working with Children Working with Children's Check.
